There are two knock sensors for a 1995 K1500 w/ 5.7 tbi (doner vechicle for my tbi swap). One is for a manual and one is for an automatic. They are phisically identical so can someone tell what the difference is and which one should I use on my 86 blazer?

My thought was that the sensor for the manual may be less sensitive due to noise from the m/t? That is the one I picked up because it was cheaper (like 45% cheaper at advance).

What say you? :dunno:

Delco part numbers 213324 & 21392. BWD part numbers S8012P and S8011. I bought and installed the S8012P last night, I'll try and set my timing today and take her for a spin. We are suppose to get 2-4 inches of snow. Whoo hoo!

I know there are several knock sensors out there but never saw 2 for one vehicle... the difference in knock sensors are sensitivity, they are tuned for acoustical noise. I usually use one when I do a conversion but only for tuning to look for knocks, when I am done tuning I back off timing 2 degrees and disable the knock sensor.

If your not going to tune the chip I would use the knock sensor that matches the ECM your using. The 95 type ECM (should) has the knock circut (ESC) in the ECM Memcal.
