1996 ford e250 heater questions

Ok, i was attemting to change my heater core, 1996 e 250 van, and broke the plastic cover that covers the heater core. I was wondering......can i loop the lines and bypass the heater core all together? Until my parts come in for the new heater core? Thanks , jacob

Yes you can. If it is just a cover and doesn't actually hold the heater core in place than I'm sure you can go ahead and put the new heater core in and hook up the lines and install the new cover when it comes in.
