1997 dodge 3/4 ton

What engine?

The front is the Dodge only psuedo Dana 60 (ie good for ****) and the rear would be a D60 if it was a V8, D70 if it was a V10 or Cummins with an auto, and the 5 speed stick Cummins trucks got the D80.
I'm 90% sure the V10 and Cummins parts are right. They used all three rear axles in those trucks but the engine arrangement gets confusing.

I do not have anymore info. Found an ad for a dana 60 front and rear for $400 each. Unfortunately there is no contact info. Hopefully they will update their ad soon. Trying to find that illusive d60 deal without traveling half way across the country!

The front will have the Central Axle Disconnect (CAD) crap, two piece front shafts and IIRC they are 32 spline too. Tack on that they are balljoint front ends and use unit bearings and its not a desirable axle to swap under anything. They're good for tow rigs but not for trail rigs.

The rear 60 isn't worth anywhere near $400 and I wouldn't bother with that either.

The front actually has D44 sized shafts. Not beefy at all. Fine under a tugging tow truck or a pulling truck but bah for beef. Good old fashioned stuff like the Ford, Chevy, and original Dodge D60's these ones aren't.
