1997 k1500 LT suburban ~ overland /adventure

Looking at a 97 k1500 5.7 4l60 197k miles. My DD is an 01 k2500 8.1 4l80e 202k miles.
I need to keep the 01 as is for our kennel but the 97 will be a toy.
My question is this, if I put a 2.5~3" lift and 1~2" body lift will 37"military tires be to much for the ifs? I don't beat on my trucks so it won't see intentional rock crawling. Just a national forest road and desert trail.

I don't know whether the IFS will handle that, but I know you'll get more answers in the garage section of the forum. That's where most of the technical answers happen. If you ask one of the mods, the thread can be moved over there. Or you can start a new one.
