I had to search all over yesterday to find what I was looking for. Since the 1999 Suburban and 1999 Silverado are different generations of vehicle, everything linked to the 1999-2006 repair manual.
Aparently, the 1999 and older stuff had a plug/play harness too (for the most part). Under the driver's side of the dash, there is a panel behind the park brake pedal. At the bottom, there are two spaces marked "DRK GRN" and "NAT". In the "NAT" spot, the terminal on the right is brake signal from the pedal. The left is ground. In the "DRK GRN" slot, the far right terminal is 12V+.
Using 1/8" female spade terminals, you can make your connections there for those wires. I simply slit the steering shaft boot with my knife and brought the blue wire that's taped under the brake booster into the cabin and have them all ran together in loom over to the controller. I'll get some pictures today. I had to use 1/4" spades for now, little tight but got them plugged in. I've got 1/8" stuff at work, just didn't have any here at home.
Hope this helps someone else!
Does anyone know the thread of the AUX A and AUX B lugs on the fuse box under the hood? I need to land my 12V accessory wire to the towing harness there so I can charge the battery on our dump trailer when towing it.
