About a week ago I ordered some weatherstripping for my doors from 1A Auto and found something interesting. The shipping start location is Lenexa KS, just so happens that's where LMC truck is located.

I know 1A is a drop ship company but i've heard some people on here talking about they had the best weatherstrip for our trucks, so I bought some. 1A had the product for $51 but I didn't mind paying it if it fit right and was a good product. LMC charges $31 for the same product.

I guess I get to pay my $20 "stupid tax" this month but I didn't want anyone else getting caught up in 1A Auto and just order from LMC truck.

Funny thing is, I wouldn't have even realized any of this is they hadn't screwed up my shipping. Still no product and it looks like it will be another week until it's fixed.

Not a fan of 1A Auto right now
 
I think this was answered in another thread today.

With that said, I have ordered quite a few things form 1A Auto going back to around 2004 or so, and every one of them was perfect.

I had to warranty a exh manifold out a few years ago and that also went smooth. No questions asked. They sent me the new one and told me to just toss the bad one in the trash...no questions asked.
 
They're going to work out my shipping issues. When I get the seals I'll take some pics. I'm hopeful based on the great feedback.
 
Its good to see some good reviews on a company. Hope it all works out well. I know I have planned on ordering all my seals from them when the time comes
 
I just installed the run channel and window sweep weatherstripping from 1A Auto and it all worked fine for me. I was price checking and LMC was more expensive for the same kit. I'm also planning to get new door weatherstrip and LMC is more expensive on that stuff too. :dunno:
 
That is like saying two people have the same zip code so they must live in the same house.

Your original post only says it came from the same city. A city with a population of just shy of 50K people and a suburb of Kansas City. I don't see where you made the leap?:dunno:
 
I'm sure Tony will chime in sometime soon, he's their online rep. See how it works out, I've very happy with them, things do happen though.

My weatherstripping (door window kit) was actually cheaper from 1A than LMC. Tony has a thread somewhere on here, maybe under the vendors section for like free shipping or something for CK5ers from 1A.

I have no doubt they'll make it right.

Sorry for the delay in shipping. If you would like to PM me your shipping address and the name under which your order was placed I can look into this for you.

If there's ever and issue, you guys can PM me too and let me know.

We stock about 95% of what we carry. We own and stock (with our inventory) three warehouses located in MA,KS and AZ.

Whenever possible we try to ship our customers their order from our warehouse closest to you.

The only items we do not stock are stuff such as ACC carpets, upholstery, convertible tops ETC., because there are a lot of variables to it.

We stock boatloads of seals.

Hope this helps to put some concerns to rest. The weatherstrip companies we use are awesome.

I've personally helped one of them with fitment and bringing new seals into production.

and the above is why I will order from 1A auto when I need seals, which I do but other things come first.

I have never once seen LMC on this site. I realize they do more than Chevys but how hard is it to assign one guy to this site.

Tony has been here a while.
