1pc or 2 pc rear main?

The one piece mains supposedly don't leak as much , I haven't built the one I scored so I don't know as I haven't owned one in a vehicle .

The one in my employees 1991 van leaks just as much as any old Chevy :D

1 piece is theoretically better sealing-wise, plus many are designed (though may not have) for roller camshafts, which saves a lot of money/hassle/durability issues over aftermarket conversions for non-roller blocks.

1pc seals better but is a bigger PITA to change, 2pc doesn't seal as well but is easy to change. If you are looking at a SBC to buy, get the one piece block. Like Dorian said, most of the blocks that have a 1pc RMS are also ready for a roller cam with just a little work. Both my old SBC and my current BBC are 1pc rear mains and neiter one leaked/leaks
