Guys,
Kert is working with me to finalize the design of the 1st Gen cage plate shims for my MAW Build project. For those of you who haven't seen the "prototype", here it is:

The concept is simple enough: When you bolt down a cage plate to the convoluted floor section, it's impossible to make a strong, solid connection because of the inevitable gaps under the cage plate. These shims are intended to fill those gaps in the areas where cage plates will be installed (both on top of the floor, and on the underside) for total thickness of just over 1/4" total, with no air gaps. NOTE: The design IS slightly different between the shims that sit on the "top side" vs. the ones that mount "underneath"... so it will be important to get these in matched sets.
I'm moving full-steam ahead on this and figured I'd give you guys some advance warning that Kert @ DIY4X is going to be setting up his CNC to do a batch of these for me..... obviously, if this is something you'd want for your own project now is the time speak up. There are setup charges to do this work, but once it's running the costs for the parts get cheaper and cheaper to make..... since those setup charges get amortized across a large number of parts.
So.... for those of you who are serious about getting this kind of product, now is a good time to get the parts at a nice discount.
I don't have any interest in being the "middle man" on this deal, I just want to get a list of names for the people who are interested. When it's time to place the order, each of you will be responsible for contacting DIY4X with your payment info. The final price will be determined based on how many people actually commit to purchase.
We're still probably at least another week away from a production run, so there's a little time to work out final details and questions.
