1st gen ignition switch removal HELP

I have turned the key to the left (acc.) and stuck in my small drift punch in the hole,and can feel the spring load but can't get it to realease. I've sprayed lube in and around it but nothing works . Whats the trick to getting this thing out?

Turn the key MORE....

I forget which direction, but once the paperclip (or whatever) pressing against the spring you need to turn the key further.

It will should fall right out after that.

make sure you unthread the bezel til its sloppy, put paper clip in and turn with key in

all done
