I have 4 TSL38x12.5-15R I want to run on my 1ton blazer. I'm still running stock drum brakes on 14 bolt, so I need a 15 inch rim that will clear the drum. I know on the front 60 I will have to grind the calibers to have them clear the rim. Someone on here told me I need any rim with 3 1/2 inches of back spacing will work. The problem I'm having is finding a 8lug 15" rim with 3 1/2 inches of back spacing. The rim has to be steel, since I just bought bead lock rings for a 15 inch rim.

You won't have trouble with the drums.

However you will want 2.5"-3-1/4" backspacing if you don't want to grind until you're blue in the face on those D60 calipers. ;)

The problem I'm having is finding a place that sells them. Discount has one with 4 inches of back spacing that they can order me. That is about all I can find.

Go to Summit and order them off of their website.

I run 15X8 with 4.25 backspacing on my 1ton K5 and had to grind a lot on the calipers for the 60 but did nothing for the rear drums.

trust me on this point. 2.5" backspace. i used a 3.5" set one time. ground for ever to clear them. pain in the hand/arms and shoulders. 2.5" and be done with it.

I hope im not hijackn ur thread but im in the same situation and figured out the correct backspacing i need, but what is the typical offset that i would need for my dana 60 and 14ff axles? thanks for the info in advance, im new to the 4x4 scene

I run 2.75" backspace rims (15x8) that I got from 4WP for just over $30 a piece.

I still had to grind the caliper a bunch but I like the width and steering box clearance.
