I was looking around trying to find a 2.5" suspension lift for my 1989 Jimmy 4x4. I want to just fit 33/12.50/15 tire on the truck and give it a little lift and still fit in the garage.

Who still makes these lifts? I'll use a add block in the back. Rear springs were replaced with OEM in 2004 so no need to toss them.

I just want a good street ride for towing and general driving. I don't rock climb or go deep mud hole driving. Just your average farm countryside driving with the trailers.

I'm looking for a list of manufacturers who are good. And a place to get a good deal on the lift at the same time.

Thanks for any help or recommendations.

i would do a shackle flip in the back for the better ride, unless you want cheap then the block would do fine

you want best ride

tuff country
bds
skyjacker soft ride

ruff country is vary stiff springs.

and yes i would rec a shakle flip in the back for better ride. but a block will do.

I believe I've found what I'm going to use. Tuff Country is the choice. I used them to replace the rear springs with factory back in 2004.

They make the 3" lift kit with 4" block and 3" front springs. $403.00 for the non-shock option. Seems like good deal for that price I suppose. Couldn't find any cheaper prices.

I just want to run 33/12.50/15 on my 15/10 center line rims. This is about the only thing on the vehicle I'm going to modify. I'm redoing the truck in stock redo. I like it the way it rolled out of the factory. Strange I know, but this is going to be my classic truck rebuild.

If anyone has used this kit I would like to hear what you think about it. With the 4" block in the back it should give the truck a little rear rake which I think will look nice. It looks like it sits low in the back normally, so this should be a nice look.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Been thinking about doing this to my M1009. But, just cant talk myself into spending money when the other Blazer sill needs stuff done to it in order to wheel it.

I may just go with some zero rates to get an inch lift and a set of new shocks.

You wont be getting shocks with the new lift?

?? My 4" RC lift rides better than stock. (springs no blocks) Would not really want much softer ride. Becuz i tow a thing r two. It also flexes pretty well. last time i had it on a RTI Ramp i did a 910 which aint too bad for " stiff springs"

I'll figure out what brand of shocks I want after I buy them. Maybe rancho's or I may go for their kit with springs. I don't know yet.

Would like to hear some more opinions on this kit or any kits from Tough Country.
