Has anybody run these? I would like to here some info on them. Are there many aftermarket options on these axles? And I heard there are braking problems and the front axle is a reverse rotation. I am wondering because I have acess to a full gm military truck for free :woot: because my grandfather wants rid of it. But I would like to here everyones .02 before I got to wild with it.

These dont have much aftermarket support at all, basicly just replacement oem stuff. Although detroit does make a locker for em but its about 650.00. Pinion brakes can be made pretty easy and cheap. im pretty sure they use a honda accord front rotor and also they sell a weld on caliper bracket kit from speedway motors thats universal and can be made fit. A friend of mine just did all that to a 86 k5 blazer but its in a million pieces for pics. Wheels for these you will have to recenter some to be able to use other style tires. They recentered 16.5s and did 12 wide wheels with 2.5 backspacing and 44s.

That center chunk can be turned around and the axle sides swapped with a little work and then you should be able to use a 205 or any other chevy case.......now thats what they were telling me anyway, in the mud section on pirate there is some info on em.

I'd also like to see pictures of installs if anyone has any:pimp:
Just found a place that has aftermarket axles, Detroit locker, disc brake convers, and locking hubs. But it's expensive with a capital $

What place is this? I am gathering parts to do such a swap. I did one about ten years ago and it was a pretty good setup. I did not like the single pinion brake setup per axle. But it worked pretty well.

Proformancepros has all that. How did you deal with reverse rotation? Do you have any pics of it
