Wanted 2 barrel rochester carb late 60's vintage .

If he needs the 2GC Rochester with the smaller throttle plates (they had 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" versions),you can use a Holley or Carter 2 bbl off a 70's Mopar, they are a direct fit,I put one off a '74 D150 Dodge truck 318 on my 73 307 and it fit like it was made for it,even the choke coil spring is identical, and it ran much better than the Rochester did, that always had a flat spot or bog when you accelerated I could never cure..

I still have the Rochester, and some partial carbs for parts..

I also have a brand new in the box Holley Economaster 2 bbl for a 1976 350,the larger 1-1/2" bore version..but its been sitting 30 years in a box ,I bought it maybe 20 years ago at a swap meet--dont know what it looks like internally--might be perfect--might be corroded to death too...I'd assume it would need a rebuild, the accelerator pump might be petrified now..

I have used a Mr. Gasket 2 bbl carb adapter to put a Motorcraft 2100 series 2 bbl off a 302 onto a small block more than once, those carbs run nice and dont flood easily during off roading..that might be an option for your friend also, there seems to be more of those around than Rochesters..
