I got my new wheels that I have been waiting on for a month now, so it was time to bust out the grinder on the D60 calipers. I had to take a good amount of meat off the caliper to fit the 15X10's with a 4.25 BS

I pulled my shackle flip (homemade job) off due to pinion angle problems. I ended up doing a through the hanger flip and adding a set of ORD Z-rates, while I was there I moved the axle back 1.5" and added 4* shims. The finished product, with 38.5X14.5/15 TSL/SX's /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif mounted on 15X10 chrome mods looks like this and yes the sheetmetal is getting trimmed soon too /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif

Newbie question- what is the point of moving the akle back? Just clearance or does it serve some other purpose?

Looks bad arse!!!

Point of moving axles forward/back is, in this case, to offset the fact that a shackle flip moves your axle forward slightly, and also to increase departure angle.

How much driveline difference did you see having moved your rear axle backward? I'm considering the same thing but I spent the big bucks for my rear shaft and don't want to have to lengthen it.

That looks so very, very, VERY SWEET /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
