2 different ff14b detroits?

dumb question... will i be able to use the detroit that is in my 4.56 and up carrier in a 4.10 and lower carrier or is there 2 different versions...one for each?

I didn't think 14 bolts had that carrier split. aka only one carrier. Never seen a detroit say it was for any other 14 bolt. Well there is the newer 88+ ones but thats another topic.

yes 14's split is at 4:10 but since the detroit don't replace the carrier like it dose in a dana 60 or 44 12bolt or 10 bolt it uses the same detroit

That's what I did, 5:13s thick with 4:10 carrier and a detriot... It's just that simple! Thick gears for 14FF are pretty easy to find! The none thick ones most people don't carry and you are forced to buy GM gears and they're more expensive! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

yeah, thats why Im going back to the 'lil carrier. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif i have 4.56s factory... but 5.13 gears for em are in the $350 range for certain brands. doh! they are 75-80 less for the 4.10- carrier.
