2 foot lift blocks

I am pretty set on radials(not 100% but like 90%). I think a nice set of 38x15x15 TSL Radials will suit me well.

how much do those run for a 15" rim ?? /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

nevermind its 288, thats not happening. I wish they made a 38x14.50 Bogger. All I see is 38x11 boggers.

ouch! Those 38 x11 work good alot of guys run those for winter tires back home they cut down to the hard ground pretty well ...also some of the guys that mud bog down here use them with good results..... they do look kinda funny though /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

yeah my goal with this ride is looks as much as function so 38x11s just isn't happening. If I were just building a swamp rig I woulud seriouslly consider them. I really don't get why 38s are the only tires they make like that though? Seems a popular size to leave out like that.

You'd think they'd make them in all the same sizes as the TSL's /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Hey, thanks for posting up. Just curious about the rear suspention. Is that a good set up for what it was built to do? Or was it more of a "We are out of time, quit screwing around w/ those coils!"? Most people max out the rear first because it is simpler w/ the centered drive-shaft and no steering issues. Although from the pic it looks like hydro steer, so not as big of a deal. You have been both bashed and defended in this thread, so give us the low-down.

The rear suspention. This is how we want it. It works great. We are helping a guy bild one with coils. We had a guy thats been mud bogging for 40 year help us. He has a ford just like it and it has held up that long. His son was at alto with us in the Ford just like my bro.

P.S. Its a REDNECK thing!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

yea but isnt it a little different...the "blocks" are welded to the axle, not sitting on top of it like traditional lift blocks do. wouldnt it be like really really tall spring perches?

[/ QUOTE ] That's what I was wondering. If it works for the application, its doing its job.

I have a 4-5" spacer between the aircleaner assembly and carb and have seen a velocity stack used for the same reason.
flat out works. I have had rushing water going up the windshield and never sucked water in the engine, my boots were full of river water though
