Who makes them, and will it clear with crossover steering?

The blaze has 4inchers now, and I was thinking of dropping it 2 inches.

Mine's at no lift and I still fit crossover steering, though the front only has a couple inches of uptravel. 2" lift would work fine but you will probably need to use bumpstops. Whose crossover setup are you using? Is the draglink bent? If its not bent it may not clear the engine crossmember.

What's your rear lift setup like now?

If I was going to do what you're talking about doing I would run 52's in the front (I'm running 52's with 3 leaves and the overload, running a 4th leaf might get you a couple more inches of ride height) and a 2.5" shackle flip in the back with stock 52's or 56's.

I have ORD's draglink and the rear is 4in springs. I kinda just want to swap 2 inch springs in.

I can tell you that crossover WITH high steer will not clear with 2" lift, but with low steer it looked like it would clear fine.

2" springs with highe steer, if you picture the tie rod on the bottom, it looks like it will clear/

That thing has 52inch swap, or the springs have been relocated forward. I think he is asking about "stock length" 2inch lift springs vs 4 inch lift springs

:doah:I thought those were the pics before I did the 56", but the drag link and tie rod were just as close, the 56" I put on didn't raise it any, just pulled the axle forward.

to answer the first part of your ??, skyjacker makes a 2.5" lift. i've had it on my truck for about 8 years, still rides decent.

Thanx for the pix..........Are those pix at full stuff?

Haha, when I (or probably we) said crossover would fit with less than 4" of lift it is very close. My springs comes within 1/2" of the pitman arm when its flexed out. It can be done, but like I said you will need to setup bumpstops.

Now that I have shocks on the truck it actually goes down the road and quicker parts of the trail very well. Having little uptravel doesn't really matter on a rockcrawler, my front still flexes very well even if it is mostly downtravel. These are the bump stops I use in the front.

Both BDS and Tough Country make 2" springs IIRC.

Thanx Chris. I saw you're bumstops in moab last time and they look nice. I might get some BDS or find someone to trade for my springs.

I actually tore both of them while running Area BFE a couple days later. The reason they tore is because they contacted the spring plate and there was nothing to keep them from "squirting" out to either side. I have since welded on little tabs to keep the bump stops from moving around.

Oh, Jegs warrantied them without question. That's why I like Prothane (lifetime warranty) better than Energy Suspension or Daystar.
