2 more die in offroad accident

I had met the Missouri Jeeper who died. The local Jeep club community was devistated by this.

I really think something is worth looking into. Maybe its me - watching too many epsodes of Cops instead of wrenching on my rig.

This is total speculation here, but is there a possibility someone could have forced these people off the road? How would it be detectable if there were no survivors? It's scary to think about.

Two accidents within weeks of each other in the Telluride area - when they havent had an accident in years!

I think its safe to say that the seatbelts in Jeeps must fail because we believe Allen and Sue always wore their seatbelts. I think a persons chance of survival would be far better by being ejected than being in a heavy mass tumbling down 900 feet.

It's also safe to say - a cage would not help either. 900-1000 foot rolls do not leave much chance for survival. Cages are designed for slower rollovers or non-consecutive rollovers.

It is very sad.

Mudzer,
Being forced off the road definately did not occur in the crash on Imogene pass. There were witnesses.

The other crash on Black Bear. Weather may have been a factor and not wanting to do a 3 point turn.
