2" or 4"

Gas charged shocks are much stiffer than hydraulic. If you noticed your ride getting softer with gas charged shocks it was your imagination.

And I belive both Tuff Country and BDS have the better ride quality. Every truck I've riden in with Rough Country felt like a old lumber wagon.

Obviously most people think the Rough Country has a bad ride. The question I have is this: Right now my truck sags in the rear. If I go with the Tuff Country which has a softer spring will my truck still sag?? I definitely don't want to spend $700+ and have a truck that still sags. Would the Rough Country prevent the sag b/c of the stiffer springs? My truck is almost totally stock so I have no experience with lift kits. Thanks for the help.

My truck has ran both the rough country 4" and 6" lifts. I still have the 6" on there and it rides just fine. You could ask a few members on here who have ridden with me. The 4" rode bad due to bushings being shot and old. Now with my 6" I have a little bit of sag without the zero rate in the rear but you can't beat the ride quality. Maybe a half inch or so. The lift kit you buy is the one you buy and not everyone else. I like going against the grain and buying Rough Country Lifts and Ground Hawgs but it is my truck and my money.

I can tell you my experience with my 4" Rough Country lift. The ride is better than it was with the stock reverse arch front springs. Does it ride like a Cadillac? Heck no.:D I can say that the ride was much improved when I ditched the cheap Rough Country shocks and installed some Gabriels.:waytogo:

After I installed the lift, the rear of my Burb actually sat higher in the rear. I installed a zero-rate in the front when I did the axle swap to level it all out. :burb: :burb: :burb:

Where were you guys yesterday? Every reply I got yesterday was against the Rough Country and today they are all for it. Thanks for the help. I think I will go with the Rough Country and get some different shocks. Other than the Gabriels which ones would you recommend?
