before i put mine in anybody got any tips? also do i have to remove the 4 rear crank bolts? or just the oil pump? and i have the engine on an engine stand will i still be able to access everything? any pics and walk thru steps would be great.

I found this at auto zone Click here

I see auto zone wants you to make a install tool to do the top half every time I have put the top half in that way it leaked.I have had to loosen up the mains and let it drop some it goes in easier.
I see yours is on a stand so the mains can be loosen up but you will need to pry up on the end of the crank to get it in there.make sure its oiled and the lip is pointed to the front of the engine. Then on each end were the seal meets make sure it's free of oil then you want a dab of silicon....Don't go crazy you only need a dab

The problem with trying to get it in there with out loosening the mains is the part of the block that the seal sits on will slice off the rubber on the back of the seal even with oil on it.

important things.. lip of seal towards front of engine,Install dripping with engine oil (my preference stp ) clean ends before the silicon is placed and re torque mains.

Hope this helps
