Thats kind of an advantage. It lets you install the lift deeper into the shop.

Do as you want but if I were you put in 12' wide doors. Full sized truck with large mirrors gets tight with 10' doors.
Agreed--especially if you have an 7.5 or 8 foot plow on the truck..Yah 10 foot doors for sure
..Went to my concrete guys barn today he has his symmetrical lift 13' from the door and the column 3' from the wall and with his '12 CCLB Duramax he can walk around the back good, not enough to drop the tailgate though. I think I'll do the same.
