2 rear output np205 ?

It would be nice if there was a small enough medium duty tandem axle setup but there's not that i know of.
There is a company out there that is making a drop out GM14 bolt center section. If you were to turn one over so that the pinion pointed to the rear, you could build a box off of the pinion support. You would have a shaft coming in through the back cover which is now pointed to the front. The differential section of a 203 transfer case would be attached to the front differential. A 205 transfer case gear would be splined on the inside to fit the 61 splined front differential gear of the 203. A gear would have to be made that fit in place of the pinion yoke that is the same as the counter gear of the 205. The shaft spacing would be about 5-3/4" which should let the the input shaft clear the carrier. The rear output of the 203 would have a short driveline to power the rear differential. This would allow you to drive unlocked on the highway and locked off road

I was working on my 70 Dodge W200 when I realized that my 6x6 NP205 transfer case had a design problem. The problem was that I run my PTO off of the transfer case and if it uses a design like the NP200 then there is no gear to make it functional. The NP201 and NP202 both use an auxiliary gear to run the PTO.

The NP202 has a shiftable countershaft which can eliminate the high speed gear problem with the NP200. So I have decided to go that route on my NP205 6x6 transfer case. This will allow the input gear to be kept original and allow for the use of a transfer case mounted PTO. As far as the rest of the design goes it will remain the same as in my previous post.
