yea, since i dont know of any OMC/evinrude marine engine forums, here goes...

i have a 15' whaler jet boat with a 115hp 2 stroke engine. we took it out for a day of fun on the water, and pulled it outta the water, flushed it with fresh water, and put it back in the garage. it ran beautifully that day. the next week, i went to crank it up to go out again, and it wouldnt start. the pinion on the starter would contact the flywheel, but it wouldnt turn the flywheel. so being that it had run fine the previous week, we said "hey, must be a bad starter," and i replaced it. well, apparently thats not the problem, it's still doin that. i tried to turn the flywheel by hand, and it turns over about 1/2 of a cycle before it siezes. we hadnt done anything with the motor, so i have no idea whats wrong with it.

so after all that good stuff, heres the question: whats wrong with my boat?

oh yea, the OMC wasnt my choice! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

try pulling the plugs and spin her over a few times. an older boat my dad had would down flood from the carb into the chamber and fill the chamber until it would hydro lock the case and the cylinders. i can't imagine an injected motor doing it, and i have only seen it happen on his old deck boat where the carb and fuel tanks where at similar height.

its possible, it does have 2 carbs... /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

ill try that when i get home tonight. thanks
