Looking for help from some of you that have already been through the process! 86 K5 Jimmy btw.
I'm going to build a custom dash in this truck! What has been the best most user/installer friendly aftermarket/universal heat and a/c kit?
Next on the list is the weight on the rear of the truck. Ordering ORD custom 63" springs for the rear. I have a good grasp on the weight of the front of the Jimmy as I have another truck equipped exactly like this one will be on the front. Are there any of you guys with K5's that are running tons, full cage, bumper mounted spare, tools, with the top on and a rear seat that might be able to help me with a weight. Running Nitto 40's on Hutchinson beadlocks if that makes a difference to anyone. Thanks ahead of time to anybody that can throw some knowledge my way!!

My vintage air kit bolted and fit well under the dash and just has flexible hoses for each vent. It does almost touch the sheet metal near the hinge of the glove box. That may or may not work with your ideas for a dash. Has defrost, dash, and floor settings. Even as a sure fit kit its pretty universal. Controller is wired in and all electrical, could be put pretty much anywhere.

There is no way you'll find better than vintage air right now. Just do it
