hey guys I have a set of 2, 2" wheel spacers for sale. they are new, never used. they are 8on6.5" bolt pattern. I would like $100 shipped. I paid a lot more than that for 'em. they will come with lugnuts. I live in Sikeston MO. and I will take money order or cash only. thanks. Dustin

I am his brother, he doesn't get online on the weekends, but we were talking about these yesterday. I will call him 1st thing in the morning.
 
ok guys this is what happened, I thought I had them sold. then the person told me something came up, which is fine i understand that. so I PM'd the two other people interested. Im not sure who was first in line, it was a toss up, I had one guy saying that he had the money in hand and would take em, and I had one guy wanting to trade, and asking for pics and asking about shipping and payment which I understand but money talks. I did not want to lose a sale waiting to see if the other guy was going to back out when they both got there at the same time. hope you guys understand this. At least I did not raise the price after a few people were interested like some people on here do. Dustin
 
every post and pm has a public posted time and date it was posted or sent. and personaly if we found a guy who did jack up a price he would have a big problem on here. if you ever find that or have proof then send it to a mod to take care of it.
 
your PM was sent at 937AM the other at 957am. I responded to both. your response was "can I get pics?", his was Ill take them and he got back with me right away. not everybody does the dibs method I have always done the first with the money method. sometimes people sell things because they need money and waiting a week to let everybody decide if they want it is rediculous when the 4th person in line is standing back there waving the money around. apparently someone else posted in the thread that they were interested too. if you only do the first dibs method around here than I will honor that. If I post something for sell on here again then I will be sure to keep track of who's in line so its all fair and no one is offended. and the jacked up price thing was taken care off, I guess I should not have mentioned it. all Im saying is money talks, BS walks. some might agree with me some might not. thats just the way it is. you can choose not to buy from me if you want to.

There is no hard and fast rule regarding "dibs". In general if you intend on using that system it's good form to include that in the original ad. If you're are looking for "first with cash" then that should probably also be mentioned.

As i said, there is no hard and fast rule regarding this...

FWIW, "dibs" is sometimes very difficult to keep track of mostly because some will reply by pm only, some will reply to the thread and yet others will use email. Usually someone feels they got bypassed or screwed over. I much prefer "First with cash".

It is hard to have cash in hand when you are looked passed. :confused:

No hard feelings, just a chapped ass for the moment.


Now would be a good time to change the title to SOLD, in accordance with the guidelines of this section.


If I am selling something, don't bother posting up for it.

Look man, the same thing happened to me before, but the roles were reversed and I missed out because I wrote a wishy-washy reply like that. I've also been the seller and played the "dibs" game-once, never again, it was a nightmare. We are not in the 3rd grade, $$$ talks. Hope there's no hard fellings.

I have no hard feelings to you Jim.
I just have expectations of patience that others don't. I don't see the desparation of trying to sell or buy something or I have to sell it now and what if it falls through attitudes.
If person A doesn't buy it there will be somone else.

If you are that desperate to sell something, then why use the internet, sell it local and get your money without bothering with shipping.
