I found this company that makes 20" Disc Grinders and other stuff while looking around online. I didn't read much on it so I don't know if it's an import or not, but at $795 bucks it's a steal. I paid $1500 NOT including tax and shipping for my 20" USA made Conquest Disc Grinder. It sure looks like a very nice grinder. My 20" is probably one of the MOST used tool in my garage for fabrication. It says it's a steel disc, My Conquest is Aluminum. Steel is better, more Mass for Cintrifucal force for cutting/grinding.

Only draw back of a single Phase motor is you can not flick the switch in Reverse while it's running IF you need to grind on the other side of the disc. It WILL burn the motor up for sure. With a three Phase you can do this. When I bought mine I had the option of a single, or three, I went with three so I would not burn my motor up. MOST of the time you don't need to change directions so it's a none issue. If you had to you could just shut it off then slow it down to a stop with a piece of steel then reverse, it's actually faster to do this anyways.
