2000 K5 on Ebay!

me either, maybe it got let go in the Gov't buyout????

lots of custom stuff, but is it really collectible?

440 hp 6.0 would be nice though.

Sometimes. Depending on how road legal they are and if they had any "secrets" to them.

Be neat to have but it's a one off, kinda collectible, and basically not that great of a 4x4...so pass...

It's cool that it's a K5, but it looks kind of off. Probably the picture angles but it looks like a bad version of an Isuzu Amigo.

Heard that a lot 10 years ago. It was a neat idea but I think they got the styling wrong.

You are right on the button there. I remember when it came out I just kind of shrugged and thought, pass. It's kind of like that hideous Ford Bronco concept from a few years ago. I'm glad they didn't put it into production as it has none of the qualities of what makes a real K5. It looks a little like the Avalanche with an Amigo rear roof.

It's kind of neat as a piece of automotive history but I wouldn't want it. Thanks firemedicsafd for posting it up though. Very interesting.

I think they were trying to foreshadow the Avalanche and sorta made a colossal fail out of it.

Pass as well, it sits way too low to the ground. Probably has a tough time getting over those speed bumps.

I'd take a nice original K5 over that thing any day.

I would buy it if it was closer, and not too pricey. I see lots of potential here. Probably rides much nicer than my K5 too.

I would lift it a bit and go for a more aggressive stance, maybe some bushwacker cutout flares, put some real bumpers on it with a tire carrier in the rear, bench seat in the front...

I'd also look at having a fiberglass hardtop that would help make things look a little more proportional.

BUT the price would have to be right for this to happen. I can see some potential for sure. Something no-one else has.

what an ugly pos. here's how it happened.

Avalanche:"Hey guys, this is my cousin, isuzu amiga"
'Guys': "Avalanche, is she pregnant with your bastard child?"
Amiga:"We're so excited, we're going to name it K5, and all the fanboys will tell us how cute it is, even though it will be an inbred bastard child with one eye lower than the other and no left ear, he will probably even drool a little"

8months later at the plant, err hospital..

"
'Doctor Chav R. Lei' : "This is one ugly kid, lets not mass produce it
and that folks, is the story of how this abortion made it past the coat hanger.

Ya:rolleyes: Looks as if the softtop was a rushed afterthought. I think if GM would want to produce a K5 they need to look at making a full convertable. Thats a big part of the attraction. Don't think they'll ever get rid of the IFS.:doah:
