2001 3500-HD / 2002 3500-HD - NEW build with 2002 truck now .

8.1 bbc vortec / nv4500 / 4.63 rear 1.5ton truck was a 12ft flatbed dump now 10ft flatbed dump .
fuel filter day and new lines . WoW was the old filter cooked .

the 8.1L runs real good now she will almost bust a pair of 19.5 tires loose but they talk a lot now saying were ready to bust loose .

lucky i have a dump bed to get to sender easy . had to make 3 adapters cause i forgot the nut on the 1st one . then fuel setting 1.5hrs to see the drop out .

3500-hd v.2.0 has now started .

2002 last year c3500hd and needs work but lived out of rust belt life . Sat a few years and 1 year for me but getting her done and back in service .

pads and rotors to far gone for pads . . Rotors to much rust to let rotor eater pads try and eat past . . . So new seals / rotors / pads / calipers . . . And thank goodness for this lr hub outer bearing JUNK and ready to fail bad and kill a dana 80 axle .

Swapped good bearings and races from a parts axle and back in working order faster than parts ordering delays.

More this weekend and keep an eye out for updates .

Fyi : hub & rotor is 70 lbs per side on one of these dana 80 10lug axles .

Twin piston caliper upgrade all 4 corners today . Bad abs sensor rf so waiting for new one Tuesday at napa . . New shocks all 4 corners today .

and who knew a OFFROAD DESIGN stainless braided brake hose kit for a 79-91 k30 with 7"-10" lift would be just the right new hose length up front . And the rear will be getting them sunday project .

with the upgrades it should stop on a dime and give 5cents change back :deal:

Well its offical the hard line nuts on this trucks are junk . Never seen one do this . Unscrew super hard and not wana go back in . .

Got the mag-tyec trans pan and filter on the 4L80-e . . Broke trans mount as normal . Sh!t wont come apart . .

These trucks use the same bendix caliper as our c/k 30 trucks . And in the rear they offered a twin piston for tow truck spec . Simple swap and in my application longer hose on front and shorter hose on rear .
 
tappered leafs are all the same . only difference is added specs and thickness per leaf . so i gained 1" and then 1" ish for new tread tires .
 
UPDATE : a lot has happened but happy to say it runs with the good used motor . A crazy amount of work has gone in to it at this point that i should of done in the off season . But in a way thankfully its been crazy wet rain so i am delayed anyway .

This weekend should be the mounting of the 12ft work flatbed . The bed is all assembled and stuff bolted in place so no crazy twisting between frame to get stuff . Lights all wired up in junction box on bed so its just plug and play when bed set on frame .
