Ok so a guy at work has a 2001 gmc jimmy 2 door, 4wd.. yadda yadda...

he has sirius radio and using the fm transmitter.. but told me he had an aux button... so I was curious what cable is needed to connect the radio to his sirius so he can use the aux button and no more fm tansmitter...

also anyone have one of these cables around they want to sell???

He'll need to buy an ipod style adapter to get the Sirius to interface with the stock radio. Most any knowledgable stereo shop will be able to get him set up with the right adapter. He'll probably spend around $120.00

If the GM aux something or another connector is what he needs then I have one. Never used.
I will find it and get the details on what it will work with.

If he traded the 2001 in for a 2003 or newer ( or found a newer RDS headunit without onstar like in a base Impala ) , he could sell the Current Sirius he has , and buy the hardwired GM1 , which uses the aux button AND displays the channel info on the factory radio :thumb:
