1/2 ton status
I am putting my 2002 Chevy Avalanche up for sale. Truck has 145,XXX miles, mechanically in EXCELLENT condition; I have spared no expense to maintain this truck and it runs that way. I have all the major service records from when I purchased the truck at ~68,000 miles (trans/tcase/diff fluid changes, etc.). This truck has been meticulously maintained-no oil usage at all between oil changes, no smoking, trans shifts firmly, and the 4x4 works flawlessly. Addtionally, I have never converted it by taking the rear hatch down, so there are no air/water leaks.
Exterior-I'll start with the not so good; the front a and rear bumper covers have cracks in them, and the front driver's fog light is broken/missing. Also, the grille insert right above the cover and right below the headlight is broken. The rear bumper cover got cracked/torn somehow, but neither issue has any effect on the structure (no deployed airbags, bent frame, etc.). All issues are purely cosmetic. The windshield has a nasty crack all the way across, about 4" up from the bottom. I purchased a new windshield less than a year ago, but caught a rock early in the winter then the crack grew as it got colder. I can replace this as a term of a sale/trade if necessary. Finally, the tonneau cover-yes, it has a factory tonneau rather than the plastic panels about 90% of Avs come with. The tonneau is starting to tear at the corners, but still holds water out. Other than those issues, the truck is straight (no dents other than the dimple in the hood), no rust, and no other serious cosmetic blemishes. As a reference-the bumper covers, fog light and grille insert can all be found on eBay for less than $500 total-I simply never had the desire to fix them.
Interior-The interior is in EXCELLENT condition-never smoked in, and there is no visible wear or tears on any of the seats. Dash is still flawless as is the rest of the plastic inside. Addtionally, I have never converted it by taking the rear hatch down, so there are no air/water leaks. All power accessories work (locks, mirrors), A/C, heat, power driver's seat, radio, rear defroster all function normally. The interior is far above average for about every vehicle of this age and/or mileage. Carpet is not worn or dirty, headliner is not scratched/burned/sagging...Like I said, interior is excellent to superior.
The truck has a Readylift lift/level kit as well as air bags in the rear. The tires are 255/75R17 BFG Mud-Terrain KM with probably 50% tread left-the inner fenders on the front have been trimmed so 285's will fit, I just chose to run these. The wheels are off of a newer Tahoe, hence the 17's. Also included is a Hypertech Power Programmer, which helps immensely when changing tire sizes and/or gear ratios. This truck is equipped with 4.10 gears, and a frame mounted hitch/towing package. I redid the brakes about a year ago, and upgraded the fronts with dimpled/slotted rotors as well.
Mechanically, this truck needs nothing. NADA book on the Avalanche is 11,995, so my asking price is WELL below book to compensate for the very minor imperfections in it's appearance. Anyone who purchases this truck will be thrilled with its performance on and off road-it has never let me down!
I have a ton of pictures, so if there's something specific you want to see let me know and I'll either post it here or email it to you.
$8750 OBO; PM me, text or call 303-981-3002. Leave a message as I may be at work if you call!
I'd also take 7500-8000 plus a set of 4.56 geared GM axles; D44 front and 12 bolt rear or JUST a D60 front. Would consider a GOOD set of 33's, or anything else relevant to a K5.
