Selling my Suburban. Probably shouldn't mention I'm going to the dark side and buying an Excursion! Oh well, it's the truth. Here are the details:

2003 Chevrolet Suburban LT, 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive. 100,583 miles. 6.0 liter engine. One owner, bought new in 2003 and always adult driven. Maintenance at regular intervals including differential and transmission fluids. Just had the front hub bearings replaced on both sides, along with the A/C belt. New windshield. New leather and padding on driver's front seat (to be installed this week). Last alignment was about 5,000 miles ago when the front tie rods were all replaced. This truck tracks straight, and cruises down the highway like a dream. This is a great long distance traveling vehicle.

Extras: 6" RCD suspension lift kit (professionally installed). 325/65R18 (35"x13" with 18" wheel) Nitto Terra Grappler tires on KMC 18" chrome "Backseat" wheels. Nfab side steps, Hypertech Power Programmer, Volant Cold-air intake, Fabtech Pre-Runner guard with 3 PIAA 580 series long range off-road lights. Dual Optima "Yellow Top" deep cycle batteries. Pre-wired for sub-woofer amp and speaker cord run for sub box to the rear cargo area. Amp is a JL Audio 500 watt RMS and subwoofer is JL Audio 12W6 dual voicecoil 12" sub in custom ported enclosure. Fits under rear cargo cover and makes great sound with the factory Bose mids and highs. Weather-tech floor mats for driver and passenger footwell. Tinted windows all the way around. Full size matching tread pattern spare under rear cargo area.

Factory Options:
LT package which includes full leather with all options. Power heated seats. 2nd row buckets. 3rd row bench. Power sliding sunroof. Electronic dual climate control. Steering wheel controls for stereo and trip computer. XM Satellite Radio and 6 disc in-dash cd changer. Full premium Bose sound system with factory subwoofer. Power adjustable mirrors (auto darkening). Towing package with hitch and trailer wiring. Factory fog-lamps. Daytime running lights. 4.10 gear ratio.

Asking $15,900 but willing to negotiate.

Nice. Clean title in hand? Want to trade for a Traverse :D. Why the Excursion? I'd drop a Duramax in that bad boy.

Thanks. Yes, clean title is in hand. I'm going to pass on the Traverse.:D I've wanted an Excursion for awhile now. The D-max option on the Suburban crossed my mind, but then I would be looking at a body lift to fit it under the hood, and the expense of the whole conversion wasn't justifiable. Not to mention I'd then want to SAS the front and throw 38s under it. In the end, the Excursion was a better solution.

Took the Suburban to the upholstery shop yesterday. Driver's seat got full re-bolster and new leather. Sorry the pic is sideways. Took it with my phone camera.

I know this is a dumb question, but what were you getting MPG wise on the highway?

That was a great looking rig.

Thanks, I really liked the way it looked too. Mileage was 8-9 city and 12-14 Highway depending on speed. In hindsight I should have gotten the 8.1L instead of the 6.0. Thought I would get better mileage out of the 6.0, but by the time you put the lift and tires on it the strain on the engine probably evens out the mileage. Still a great truck though.

I will say that I ran it lifted without the pre-runner bar for a few months, and I'm not positive, but pretty sure that the pre-runner bar made my Highway mileage worse by 2-3MPG. I think the skid plate on the front pushed the air under the truck and screwed with the aerodynamics much more than just the lift and tires.

Thinking of sticking to the 6.0L. If i buy one, it will see a lot of high speed freeway miles....and really, after towing with a TBI 350 for so long, a 6.0L will be plenty powerful.

If you are going to keep the stock tires, and it has 4.10 gears, then yes the 6.0 is fine if you are towing. If you are running 35" tires with 4.10 gears and plan on towing, you will want the 8.1L. Honestly, my buddy has the 8.1L in his suburban with 33's and his mileage is about the same as mine was. The extra power if you are going to tow is worth it in my opinion.
