MODS: ACCIDENTAL DOUBLE POST, PLEASE DELETE
2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. Clean title. 173,000 miles, almost all highway. 5.3L V8 Vortec engine w/ Flex Fuel (optional). 4x4. 3.73 gears. Automatic transmission. Charcoal grey exterior, gray cloth interior.
This beast is a great trail rig and daily driver. Load it up for a weekend camping trip or drop the kids off at school. I hate to see it go, but I just have too many cars and this one doesn't get driven enough. No joke, I've probably put less than 10,000 miles on her in the past 3 years. Time for her to move on to a new owner that can have fun with her.
Exterior/performance upgrades: 3" lift, 16" black steel wheels with 35" mud tires (tons of tread left), leveled with torsion bar crank, 4' Firestik CB antenna, custom steel snorkel (works great) with K&N air filter. Black grille - OEM and sturdy, not a cheap flimsy knockoff. Some trail rash for good measure (the scratches and scuffs are only on the surface - not deep at all). Few wheeling dents, but nothing major (see pics).
Interior upgrades: Bose factory upgrade premium sound system all around, complete with tweeters and under-console woofer. This system sounds amazing, really crisp highs and tight bass. Bumps if you want it to. CB radio in dash, and aftermarket head unit with USB input. 15" flip down LCD screen and DVD player, professionally installed.
Grey cloth interior, power drivers seat, 3rd row seating. Ice cold AC with front and rear controls.
Never used for towing. Strong engine. No known issues. No check engine light. Recently had a clogged evap filter error code, but cleaned the filter out and seems good now. Should pass smog without a problem. Passed IL emissions 2 years ago.
Replaced battery last year, alternator two years ago. Recently replaced ABS sensor. Have new transmission fluid for a full flush (12 qts I think).
My parents bought it new, mom drove it to work for 7 years. Parents babied it and had all maintenance/service professionally done. Used for many cross-country road trips. No accidents, no bodywork. All original paint.
Could probably use a good cleaning, but let's be honest: you're gonna get it filthy, so really, what's the point? This thing is seriously fun to drive around. Gets stares and thumbs-ups wherever it goes. Now come take it off my hands before I change my mind and keep it.
