I have an 03 burban and the hinge has seperated from the back glass. Will I have to buy a whole new rear glass to get the hinges or can I buy the hinges seperately?

You have to buy the whole back glass. The hinges are molded to the glass.

Suck. I always hated the frameless glass on the 2000+'s. The 07 is even a smaller opening through the glass than the 06 :(

The 90's liftglass/tailgate setup owned. Super fast access, sturdy, full width.

Ok, thats all teh random comments i have...need to go to bed:doah:

Thanks for the info. I will probably try to epoxy it back onto the glass, can't hurt if I have to buy a whole new glass anyways. Kinda suck though.

Epoxy won't hold it back on. The force on the hinge will pop it back off. Don't ask me how I know.

Check with your insurance company first to see if they cover it "if a hammer flew through it:wink1:"
$876.94 list and the only GM warehouses that have it are in Vancouver, Edmonton Canada, and Burton Michigan. Good luck and check Craigslist.

Yeah I figured it would be high, for that price it probably will not get fixed any time soon. I bought it broken the guy actually has tape holding it together right now. If I get it fixed I will post some pictures if it works. The hammer trick might work but I try to be as honest as I can, at least 90% of the time :wink1:

I hear ya on the honesty thing, but you pay alot for insurance and my agent usually says "just make it look official" when I have a problem like that.

i Broke the rear glass on my 94 backing out of the garage with it open. Comprehensive glass coverage covered it, $100 deductible.

Also, seems like an easy part to get from a salvage place, as all the tahoe's and burbs would ahve the same one.
