Drove a 2004 Ram 3500 5.9HO Cummins today, and have to say it drove great. It has 135k miles on it and is a quad cab 4x4 longbed. Anything I should look for in this year/model? Searched online, no real negative comments about the truck.

What's the production date?

2004.5 went to the bigger/better he351cw turbo.

Either way they are solid trucks for the people I've known that have them

I'll have to check the date. I've read a it the that they have injector issues, but not sure how true this really is.

You'll read a lot about pretty much any newer diesel having injector issues, real results vary.

Some have big issues, but sometimes you just hear the five guys with problems out of thousands complaining on the internet

The truck drove nice, should I worry about 135k on a common rail. I k ow the 12v will go much longer. The truck has a fifth wheel setup so it was Def used to tow, but I was thinking this is low miles, plus it has an extended warranty..

135 is nothing. The 04.5 trucks are the same as my 05 and they're awesome.
Is it an auto? These early 48re tans dont let you lock out OD which is odd but there's aftermarket computers for relatively cheap to fix this.
