This thread is for the general discussion of the Item 2004 Suburban 2500. Please add to the discussion here.
This has really high miles but seems to run great hopefully a new transmission and some other odds n’ ends and I’ll have a reliable tow rig.yeah I thought I got a good deal at 7k, plus I added another 2.5 in parts for some maintenance and tires. Nice find.
4.10sDo you know which gear ratio this one has 3.73 or 4.10 ?
Ally's only came in the trucks. Burbs, Avalanches, and vans with 8.1's got 4L80e's.nice 14k towing. and can turn those 35's. Trans is 4l80 or allison ?
I sold my '22 GMC 2500, and this will be my replacement. I drove about 5 hours from home to pick up this 2004 suburban. It’s in really good shape for the age aside from the badly slipping transmission. The plan is to get the transmission rebuilt, get a set of factory PYO rims and some 35s on it. I have always wanted an 8.1 suburban, and I’m really happy to be truck payment free!

Thanks! The crew cab has been good to me for the last 6 years. Other than normal maintenance I did a set of injectors and a distributor. It was a 10 hour round trip getting the burb, and it never skipped a beat.Congrats on the new truck, may it serve you well. Good looking crew cab too!![]()
They are on my 86 suburban build threadWheeling pics from October? Asking for a friend....
