how to reset the check engine light?
after oil change

you mean the change oil light right?

check engine light has nothing to do with oil.

just turn the key on (engine off) and press the gas pedal to the floor three times to resest the change oil light.

I have a 2003 3/4 ton Sub. Turn key to on position, fully depress gas pedal three times, should reset itself (assuming you have all the electronic gizmos that mine does). Hope it works...

oops. i forgot.

if you have all of the buttons on the steering wheel, press the button that looks like a gas pump untill you see the oil life come up on the driver information center. then press and hold the return button untill it resets.
