Hey all ~ My search engine is out of gas... been trying to find = rear wheel bearings/seals & shoes..
2005 2500HD 6.6diesel 4x4 CC LB Rear axel needs to be rebuilt from wheel bearings out ~

Timken & National preferred on the wheel bearings and seals.. the parking brake shoes is whatever brand
I prefer Made in U.S.A and I already have the outer brake rotors & pads

I hear a OrrOrrrOrr Like an actual seal that lives in the water. When rolling out of the driveway at the start of my day.. course goes away once warm..

It's got 345,000 miles on the rear, so I wanna swap it all out. Any Vendors reading this.. pls reply

Where is that magic post that has all the part numbers I need to replace the wheel bearings n races + seals and parking brake shoes?

Been searching but I have nothing
Thanks
Burt

The seals are a two piece design and not something you will easily find outside of an auto parts website.

Thanks for the replies :waytogo:

This morning I found the Timken parts numbers needed :pimp:

05 2500HD
Timken
Rear outer SET38 w/race
Rear Inner 387AS Bearing
Rear Inner 382a Race
National 710568 seal

Just a heads up. Be careful with the lock for the hub spindle nut. They can be tricky to get locked in place when you reassemble. Get it wrong and it will chew up the lock retainer, loosen the nut and screw up the spindle. Meaning time to find a new housing. Don't ask me how I know.

Stage 8 locking spindle nuts for a d60 are a direct replacement if you can get them in time. Much better than the factory lock garbage.

Oh My GOODness!! :pimp:

Did you just say Stage8 LOCK Kit # DNA-60 that I have on my K5's D60 will spin right onto the spindle on my '05 2500HD Duramax 4x4 SRW?:yikes:

When I installed them onto my D60 it was precision awesomeness!!!! Been messin with Dana version for decades.. fist time I made it all glow into multinet lava hahahah "ohh so after the 50Ftlbs yer SUPPOSED TO BACK IT OFF to 35" no wonder it all melted!!! hahahah I did that back in 1995 on my D44 LOL = never again :waytogo:

Have you seen this work on the newer aam axles? I looked into this when I built mine and stage 8 says only fits inside hubs 3.3” or larger. Mine are 2.8”... so I “assume” they won’t fit.

What rig are you referring to as "mine"?
"inside hub clearance" is curious...??

Larry lost a lock on his AAM 11.5 and ruined the spindle. Had to get another housing for it. I thought he put them in so after I saw your post I texted him to be sure. He ordered them but didn't get them in time to install them. He did think they would fit, but I guess with that being said, double check for your application.
