Trying to help my sis fix her car so she can get an inspection sticker. I replaced her headlight bulbs a couple months back. Never though to check to see if the high beams were operational. She went today for an inspection and was failed because they high beams didn't work. As soon as you pull the switch back all the headlights go off, so no low or high beams. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance brothers!

PS - looks like my membership has lapsed :-/. Doh!

Any ideas?

Too many at this point. They range from a bad switch, to something that went wrong when you replaced the bulbs.
A lot of cars, probably most of them, turn off the low beams when the high beams come on.
So, all it would take would be for the high beam part to go bad.

Why did you replace the bulbs in the first place? Does the car use separate high and low beam bulbs?
Lots of cars do these days. If both low beams were bad, maybe the high beams are too.
I did see an older sealed beam setup where the guy plugged the connector in wrong and one beam would not work, but I doubt that its sealed beams on this one.

I haven't checked anything yet. And the highs/lows are the same bulbs, one side burnt out so I replaced both. Hoping to get down to my parents house this weekend to take a look at it.
