FUGGLY........I hate fords, but the Super dutys kick the **** out of Chevys for looks....I told a product rep at the Chicago Auto Show a few years ago when the Avalanche came out it looked like crap in the front........He said "thats good because our research shows that in a couple years you will really get to like it"

I just think GM is going in the wrong direction for styling these days, as far as fullsize trucks go.
Maybe I'm just getting old.

I would have to agree. Super duties kick a$$ and Chevy hasnt come out with a good looking truck since 99 stlye. GMC trucks still look pretty good IMO.

I think I'll keep my 97, it still looks & runs like new, and is paid for ... and looks much better IMHO.

I understand what the General is doing, because the Ridgeline, Titan, and the new F-150 are selling like hot cakes. So they make thier product look the same, and hope brand loyalty will keep buyers with them. Unfortunatly the seem not to realize that the LOYAL GM owners are driving the old school vehicles, not this new crap. The General has turned into an unorigional knock-off of every other car manufacturer out there, really it is disappointing!

Unfortunately, I think that is true of all the manufacturers, foreign and domestic.

i like the headlights and the bulging fenders, but the designers didn't know when to let the chrome grille end. that bottom chrome bar should look more like part of the bumper (body color). hopefully the hd versions will look a little different (more tough), and less like a overweight colorado.

The front looks like a Honda Ridgeline. I have a 2001 silverado and I think that will be my last new truck. They have been butt ugly ever since.

I think I'm gonna put my money toward a very clean 1st gen..... new trucks are getting uglier by the day. I really think I would be much happier with a good solid 1st gen truck.

I think it looks ghey too!-a "sissy" truck...I haven't liked the looks of any GM truck since the body changed in 1988--they look japaneese or chineese to me!...tupperware interior,and wimpy IFS,and less rugged than ever before...not for me thank you!--I've had several 88 up trucks offered to me for less than 1000 bucks,some for as low as 200..but I passed on all of them,even a 1 ton 4x4 with a 454...didn't like how fast they were deteriorating already..many were more rotted underneath than my 20-30 year old trucks...and most of them were for sale so cheap because they needed a new 700R4 tranny,or had the 4.3 V6 ...and electrical gremlins galore,TBi troubles,etc..I'm old school--I like points and carbs!..

If I'm going to ever buy a new truck,it wont look like that!...not for 30+ grand!....now if GM ever got smart and came out with a "Retro" series of the 60-66 body style,or the 67-72 first generations,or the 55-57 style cabs and beds, with all the late model accessories like power steering,A/C,motors like an LT-1 or Vortec's,the 502 BBC,THEN they couldn't make enough of them fast enough!..

--what my "dream Retro" truck would have for a drivetrain --a Duramax diesel with either an Alison automatic, or a six speed tranny, with BOTH granny low and overdrive,a NP205 Tcase,and the OLD 14 bolt FF axle with disc brakes..oh yeah,almost forgot the Dana 60!...and the ability to fit 44"s without ANY modification!...now THAT would be a TRUCK!--and worth 30 grand then!...

Ass ugly, Overgrown colorado (which i dont like) most new trucks are crappy looking. everyones going for the stupid street look, forgetting what a truck is supposed to be, a TRUCK! Not some POS Honda ridgeline with a ricer stance. I dont like anything newer then 99 for the pickups, the new suburbans and tahoes look like a steaming pile of donkey crap, Look like the ford expedition/new explorer. Freakin bling bling up the ass and out the nostrals.

Cant even tell the bloody diffrence between a z71, a 2WD non-HD, and anything else on the road, TOO LOW and TOO SMALL OF TIRES, I cant even beleive they will call it an "off road" package.
Maybe im just in a bad mood.

Edit - After looking at it more, It looks as if the slightest fart i may let loose will melt the damn thing and blow it away.

New dodge rams- Look like bears, specially the "durangos", New ford F150s - Look like a crappy rapper mobile and look like crap on the trail IMHO, New chevys look like they are an import..

I think its all brought on by the ricer/street scene
