2009 chevy towing questions

Could a 2009 chevy 1/2 ton crewcab 4.8 swb automatic tow an 84 1/2 ton swb? I am sure its pushing the limit but thought I would ask.

If so would flat towing or trailering be better?

I wont be towing far for the most part but do plan on a moab trip one day.

I don't think you'd have a problem. Flat towing would be lighter, but with a trailer, you'd have brakes. Depends on how far and if you have hills.
