One FCA vehicle is enough for this guy. The Y part (as depicted) has routinely failed on a yearly basis. That at least 4 times in almost 10 years I've recently replaced the Y pipe, however the van continues to overheat. Thoughts? Time to spring for a new radiator?

I had one doing that. Turns out the coolant started solidifying and clogged nearly everything. Make sure you aren’t mixing the green and orange coolant even if the container says it’s ok to mix.

The damn thing is been leaking so much I've been running pure water till I identify the problem.

The Dex cool coolant it should have come with tends to solidify as it gets old or mixes with anything else, even water I think. I’d flush the radiator, heater core, and everything else with water and make sure no rusty colored sludge comes out. It may not be your problem, but literally exact same scenario happened to me a year or so ago. Wasted tons of time figuring it out.

?
Are you using Chrysler heater hoses? they seem to be the only ones that last more than a few thousand miles.

Does the cooling fan come on? Is the radiator getting hot? Is it leaking coolant?

Yes the Cooling Fans are running as normal. The radiator is also getting hot. It was seeping coolant thru the crappy Y pipe. That has since stopped after it was replaced. The Y pipe has been replaced so many times I cannot recall if the associated hoses are OEM

The best repair on these is to buy the chrysler heater hoses, they come with the Y pipe. None of the aftermarket y pipes last more than a few months to maybe a year.

When does the van overheat?
