179 in a production car isn't too bad. I have never been a Corvette fan but, pretty impressive.
That ZR1 is one serious automobile. Let's start a pool for when the first celebrity wraps themselves around a Beverly Hills telephone pole in one....

Previous record was set by Nissan's Skyline GT-R. 7.29
I just watched it again and at aboot 6.24 he downshifts and starts to put into a slide thru the turn and scrubbs about 3 or 4 mph off his speed and he raises his hand as if to say oops, my bad . Probably at least a full second off his time too and still set a new record.

i have seen that car in action about a year ago and i can say it is amazing what it can do, i got a ride in a caddy with the same engine and holy crap that thing flys

The new maro did 8:20. They are both gonna be sick cars.
He shifted into 6th gear @ 176 mph. That car can hit 200+ given enough track.
If GM doesn't kill the new Camaro before it even hit dealers.
I guess what does it matter, I can't afford either of them!
