I've got one of the retired ambulances ready to sell. It's very high miles, somewhere over 550k on it. Extremely well maintained though, as people's lives depended on it. Runs and drives very well. Has recent brakes front and rear, recent control arms, ball joints, tie rods and Bilstein shocks. Tires are fair. 6.6L Duramax diesel, 6L90 trans, 14FF rear with 3.54 gears. Rooftop heat and AC, van powered. Has on board inverter with outlets. Has shore power plug-in to give power to inverter and electric rear heater unit. The inverter also keeps the batteries charged. Would make a great work van or a basis for a camper van. Has power windows and locks, cruise control and factory CD player with AUX input. Currently the AC does not work due to a hole rubbed into the condenser. Before I was aware of said hole, I was charging the AC and it was blowing exceptionally cold with a nice and quiet compressor. The van also has dual alternators.

Similar year cargo vans seem to be selling for 12k. Due to the very high miles, my asking price in the window is 6500. Asking price here will be less at 5k.

Also, the jump seat has a built-in child safety seat and the side bench seat lifts up to expose a storage compartment.

Throw a front axle on iit and you'll have a ready made camper.

If I didn't have so many projects going on already along with family life too, I'd build these things as campers and work vans to sell. I'm fairly certain I could make more than I have invested without a ton of work.

IDle time will be 3x what odo reads. Were these government or private ambulance.
We did front brakes on the e350 every 4000 miles, G30s were 8k.

Ambulance meets the mfr severe duty in everyway. The back of these look just like LAFDs before they went modular

Engine hours are up there, around 20k. I have no idea if the engine and trans are original or not. These were all a private company, but I have no idea if there was any government funding at all. I know they kind of fly under the radar through, as two of the vans I bought have been DPF deleted.

Bump! I'll throw it out there, I'd also be interested in trading for a '96-'00 K2500/3500 regular cab truck with 454. I figure the value may be about the same for one that is decent-ish.

There are 3 here now for sale locally 2014 with 200k miles, they say they need a battery and fuel pump.
Weird that all 3 need that unless they took them out to disable them

Sold.

Deposit was also left for another one that I didn't have for sale yet. I will have one more to sell, but not until springtime and I'm done driving it.
