what is everyones opinion on slotted rotors vs stock ac delco??? My truck has 125k on it and my factory front pads are shot. And my rotors are warped. I pull a lot of trailers without brakes and I'm really hard on the truck in general....

I'm wanting to put a set of premium pads and good rotors. I have never run slotted rotors on a truck before. Are they any better? I've been looking at rock auto and there are several brands to choose from listed under the high performance section. The listed slotted rotors are ac delco gold, raybestos, dynamic friction, or power stop.
any recommendations? thanks guys

If you pull a lot of trailers I would stick with the Delco rotors. I tried to slotted rotors on my old Duramax, which also pulled a lot of trailers and they started to form hairline cracks. I can’t remember the brand of them but I think they were ebc. I got their pads too and the AC Delco factory stuff outlasted them by a long shot.

I ran the Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors and pads on my '12 1500. They did improve braking performance and it felt like the hotter they got the better they grabbed. No issues with cracking or anything. The only problem is they didn't last long, only 30k miles out of them but then again I can't make any brakes last longer than 30k regardless of brand or style. Idk if it's my driving style or terrain in my area or what but consider yourself very lucky to get 120k out of factory brakes.

I have the Powerstops on my 06 Duramax, and am sold on them as well.
they perform better by far than any GM truck Ive owned, even new ones.
I bought the towing heavy hauling set for 590 complete, rotors pads and calipers.
do some shopping around and you can get some decent prices, although they have gone up considerably since I bought mine from Rock auto and Amazon suppliers.
