From our check and retrieval area race mile 42-56. This area was the roughest it's been in the last 9 years I've covered it. I don't have many photos during the race because we were too busy.

No problem, I miss racing too. @Fastereddie and I used to live for it. The closest I get nowadays is retrieval and checkpoint duties, so I still get to be around it.

Cool pics. Looks like they where out at the dry lake on south Las Vegas Blvd. It must have been hot as hell out there. I was at a car show on Saturday being held at the South Point Casino in a cool air conditioned building . The show was being put on by the guy I rent my shop from Art Goldstrom of the Goldstrom Hot Rod Museum in conjunction with Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and the Gaughan families South Point Casino race team . Brendan Gaughan was probably out at the desert race because I did not see him at the show, but his Xfinity series race car was there on display .

91 Chevy square long bed. 4" lift 14ff dana 60 4:10 35's. Will be installing a detroit in the 14 bolt, unsure if the front will be locked before we go.

This was between Beatty and Scotty's Junction just East of Death Valley. It was hot as fug.
