Ok so i have a 78 np205 and a sm465. i have problems with being such a short front driveshaft. so ive been thinking of adding the np203 to the setup. what all is required to make this work. (i might even have a np203 lyin around down at the shop) also wana clock the np205 so that it is even with the frame rails at the same time. what adapters did you use? how well do you like it? need something to play with over winter no real hurry, just need some info.

your best bet is to try and find a sm465 mated to a np 203 and there only found one or two years 1973 and 1974 trucks, kinda rare and expensive. Then find a different np 205 thats a bigger input spline (32). Basically lots of money. Dont forget shifters/ drivelines/ crossmembers.

cool that would be helpful. i did find some info on ord web site also. but the more info the better!

Why would i wana buy another sm465? thats just pointless! i could convert my output shaft on the sm465 and not waste my time looking for another tranny/trans case. think ill use what i have.

Lol hate to see you do a motor swap! What would you want me to find another truck with the right motor in it and then swap my body onto it?! :haha::haha::haha::haha:
