I have a 71 jimmy that came with a 205 and a TH 350. The adapter plate has cracked and I have an extra 203. will it bolt right up with the cross member? Just want to put it in till I can find the adapter?

you'll need the adapter for the 203 but it should bolt up just fine if the spline count is the same:waytogo: although I'd find a new 205 adapter and keep it, might as well twin stick it while it's out:whistle:

The adapter is really hard to find(without spending a lot). But I want to get the 203 in so I have a DD and yes I want to twin stick it.:pimp:

I just put took the 203 out of my 76 and put a 205 behind my th350. Yes the crossmember will work fine.

So I pulled out the 205 and the 203 is much longer than the 205. It seems as if I am going to have to shorten the drive line for it to work. I really want the 205 in and if mods need to be made I would rather it be done with the 205. Any input would be nice.

I say find an adapter to replace your damaged one, salvage yard should have plenty or post a want ad here, I have a spare but it has a hairline crack
