this morning we had a little bit of snow on the ground, so i thought i would go see how things worked. my t-case goes into low prety ok, but i only have low and high and thats it. how many positions should i be able to shift into. now i have low, neut, and high and thats it with a non converted t-case.

thanks mike

You should have 5 positions. All the way forward is:

4 Low Loc
4 Low
N
4 High
4 High Loc

Check your visor and see if the instructions for engaging and positions are still listed.

Note that 4 Low Loc is way forward. 4 High Loc is all the way back. I usually just bump the lever forward or backward just a little bit because you can pull or push hard enough to skip a position.

The shift lever could also need adjustment if it isn't going into all the gears. I have better succsess shifting into 4 Low Loc if I'm moving slowly.

thank you thats what i thought. like i say i have low n high. so now tomorrow im going to try and adjust it. i have seen a bunch of diagrams and read a bunch of different things on how to, but i still dont know where to put the drill bit. other wise it looks like its going to take about 20 min.

thanks mike

i played with it again yesterday afternoon, and your right. i found all positions, all it took that time was a little bump. only bad thing is it took like 4 tries to keep it in 2h or normal driving position, it kept poping out. then i would pull to hard and miss it.
