203 part time kit

did you buy it new? it should have came with instructions. which brand do you have?
 
I did the MM kit that replaces the gears last year on my buddy's '77 Pick-Up. We chose that one since it was only $50 at Summit at the time and the shaft kit was a lot more. It took less than two hours including clean-up time. He has been daily driving on it since with no problems. Add an hour for the hubs.

I believe that when I looked into the shaft kit, it is considerably stronger and if there is excessive endplay it was recommended. Now knowing that the np 203 has its own inherent weaknesses, I don't think the cheap kit will be the weakest link in that t-case.
