203 refill ?

my 203 in my 79 K-10 only took 3.5 quarts to refill it to the fil hole

owners manual says 8.25

what gives?

I can't remember, but I think mine says pints. I think the oil is listed in pints too.

As long as it is full, I guess it doesn't matter.

ok 2 pints is 1 quart, so thats on track.

8.25 pints= hair over 4 quarts, im on hill pointing up, so if i turn truck around i should be able to get at least 1/2 quart more in it.
